Renovation of this 113-year-old former public school's 9,720 square foot childcare facility and a comprehensive overhaul of its HVAC system increased programming space by over 2,000 square feet, saves over 25% on energy costs, and stabilizes fees paid by non-profit tenants.
Sustainable features* include retro-commissioning, construction IAQ plan, construction waste management, extensive use of daylighting, reduced mercury in lamps and exceptional water efficiency.
Carriage House Children's Center and Moshier Studio achieved these standards with BDA Engineering, Carlins Consulting, Watson Engineers, Jendoco Construction Inc, and Elk Air Conditioning.
*Carriage House has received a LEED® for Existing Buildings Gold certification, the first early learning center in the nation to receive this rigorous award.
