RiverQuest (formerly Pittsburgh Voyager) retained Moshier Studio to consult on the application of LEED Green Building Rating System standards to their new 150-assenger excursion vessel. This flagship is to be used for river-based environmental education, and is one of the greenest in the world. It features an ELFA system from Siemens, a diesel-electric battery hybrid propulsion system - the first in a USCG-certified commercial vessel in the US.

With the help of Moshier Studio and the full design team, RiverQuest has applied sustainable design to virtually every aspect of Explorer's construction and is the first company to apply US Green Building Council's LEED for Commerical Interiors standards to a vessel's design and construction.

Moshier Studio is also assisting RiverQuest in efforts to establish green operation and maintenance policies for their fleet and shore operations using LEED for Existing Buildings as a guide.
