We work successfully with developers to design both affordable and market rate multifamily housing projects. We listen hard and engage with the client to understand and balance the forces of the market, funding stream and community that are at play on the project.
Our work includes adaptive reuse, urban infill and neighborhood contextual buildings realized through both traditional financing and the use of affordable housing, historic and energy efficiency tax credits.
Work can and does occur in many places and in many modes. Whether solitary or collaborative, active or passive; the work environment reflects and supports the mission of the organization. The layout and selection of furniture, finishes and lighting go beyond the purely aesthetic. Design and furniture selection can contribute to the culture of the organization. Paying attention to thermal comfort and daylighting can increase productivity while saving energy.
The settings for learning are varied. They depend on the age of the student, the curriculum to be presented and the pedagogy to be employed. Our habit of hard listening combined with our experience of designing a wide variety of learning environments allows us to develop the most appropriate design for the need.
At Moshier Studio, we work successfully with developers and community based groups to understand your needs. We enjoy the Feasibility Study and Schematic Design phases, as it allows us to get to know you and the community, and allows you to visualize and think through different issues and scenarios in a defined process. This results in a project that has a better chance of getting funded and realized, and which responds to your needs.
